"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (NIV)

But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth. (AMP)

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (KJV)

After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. (NIV)

So when they met together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" (NIV)

After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. (NIV)

"For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit." (NIV)

They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. (NIV)

He said to them, It is not for you to become acquainted with and know what time brings [the things and events of time and their definite periods] or fixed years and seasons (their critical niche in time), which the Father has appointed (fixed and reserved) by His own choice and authority and personal power. (AMP)

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. (KJV)
