Thanks to our 38 backers on this Kickstarter project we celebrated true freedom this Fourth of July by putting over one million Bible verses on web pages around the world through the power of internet advertising. We know that the word of God is "powerful and effective".
Anyone who clicked on a verse was taken to a Freedom Landing Page with information about our Christian faith and a list of all the verses from the campaign.
Here are some highlights:
- Exceeding 1m verses
Our funding target was budgeted for one million verses. We exceeded that target and raised enough to show an estimated 1.15m verses. By the end of the campaign we had actually shown over 1.27m verses.
- Having a global impact
The verses were shown in 220 countries around the world. You can see a tag cloud of all the countries and detailed breakdown in the Impressions by Country section.
- Reaching "closed" countries
Amongst the countries with the highest CTR were many considered closed to the Gospel. In the top ten were China, Pakistan, Egypt and Iraq. You can see CTR in the spreadsheet data.
- Experiencing great engagement
Nearly 5,000 people clicked on a scripture to find out more information. The ads were targeted at secular sites so many of these clicks will be from people who are new to our faith.
