Then said the prophet Jeremiah to Hananiah the prophet, Listen now, Hananiah, The Lord has not sent you, but you have made this people trust in a lie. AMP

And to this people you [Jeremiah] shall say, Thus says the Lord: Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death. AMP

For the Lord has called you like a woman forsaken, grieved in spirit, and heartsore--even a wife [wooed and won] in youth, when she is [later] refused and scorned, says your God. AMP

For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. KJV

Then were our mouths filled with laughter, and our tongues with singing. Then they said among the nations, The Lord has done great things for them. AMP

Therefore I esteem as right all, yes, all Your precepts; I hate every false way. AMP

But my horn (emblem of excessive strength and stately grace) You have exalted like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil. AMP

But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. KJV

These things I [earnestly] remember and pour myself out within me: how I went slowly before the throng and led them in procession to the house of God [like a bandmaster before his band, timing the steps to the sound of music and the chant of song], with the voice of shouting and praise, a throng keeping festival. AMP

When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday. KJV
