New International Version
For you are their glory and strength, and by your favor you exalt our horn.
Indeed, our shield belongs to the LORD, our king to the Holy One of Israel.
Once you spoke in a vision, to your faithful people you said: "I have bestowed strength on a warrior; I have raised up a young man from among the people."
I have found David my servant; with my sacred oil I have anointed him.
My hand will sustain him; surely my arm will strengthen him.
No enemy will get the better of him; no wicked person will oppress him.
I will crush his foes before him and strike down his adversaries.
My faithful love will be with him, and through my name his horn will be exalted.
I will set his hand over the sea, his right hand over the rivers.
He will call out to me, 'You are my Father, my God, the Rock my Savior.'
And I will appoint him to be my firstborn, the most exalted of the kings of the earth.
I will maintain my love to him forever, and my covenant with him will never fail.
I will establish his line forever, his throne as long as the heavens endure.
"If his sons forsake my law and do not follow my statutes,"
If they violate my decrees and fail to keep my commands
For You are the glory of their strength [their proud adornment], and by Your favor our horn is exalted and we walk with uplifted faces!
For our shield belongs to the Lord, and our king to the Holy One of Israel.
Once You spoke in a vision to Your devoted ones and said, I have endowed one who is mighty [a hero, giving him the power to help--to be a champion for Israel]; I have exalted one chosen from among the people.
I have found David My servant; with My holy oil have I anointed him, [Acts 13:22.]
With whom My hand shall be established and ever abide; My arm also shall strengthen him.
The enemy shall not exact from him or do him violence or outwit him, nor shall the wicked afflict and humble him.
I will beat down his foes before his face and smite those who hate him.
My faithfulness and My mercy and loving-kindness shall be with him, and in My name shall his horn be exalted [great power and prosperity shall be conferred upon him].
I will set his hand in control also on the [Mediterranean] Sea, and his right hand on the rivers [Euphrates with its tributaries].
He shall cry to Me, You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation!
Also I will make him the firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. [Rev. 1:5.]
My mercy and loving-kindness will I keep for him forevermore, and My covenant shall stand fast and be faithful with him.
His Offspring also will I make to endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven. [Isa. 9:7; Gal. 3:16.]
If his children forsake My law and walk not in My ordinances
If they break or profane My statutes and keep not My commandments
King James Version
For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
Becoming a Christian
Would you like to experience forgiveness and new life from the God of the Bible,
who calls every person to believe that he sent his son Jesus Christ
to make this possible?
The Bible explains why everyone needs to receive forgiveness and is called to serve
Jesus Christ. The consistency of the Bible story, which was authored by people living
thousands of years apart from diverse cultures and even different languages, is
often cited as evidence of divine inspiration. Wikipedia has a list of many
prophesies which have come true.
The story of God's plan to restore his relationship with us can be summarised in eight
famous Bible verses below.
- In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
- All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
- God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
- Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
- If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.
- But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
- Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
The truth in these verses is simple, yet to embrace it means letting go of all our personal hopes and
dreams and embracing God's greater purpose for our lives instead,
a purpose far above anything we could dream or imagine.
This is the most important decision you will ever make, because it affects not just the rest of
your life here on earth, but what comes after as well. Don't put it off until too late. If you
died tonight make the decision to spend eternity with your loving Father in Heaven.
What is God's Plan of Salvation?
An Easy Explanation of Biblical Salvation
By Mary Fairchild
If you believe that the Bible offers truth about the
way to salvation, but you have not made the
decision yet to become a Christian, it's as
simple as praying this prayer. You can pray by yourself, using your own words.
There is no special formula. Just pray from your heart to God, and He will save you.
If you feel lost and just don’t know what to pray, here’s a prayer of salvation that you can
I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life
for myself. I am sorry and I repent. I ask you
to forgive me. I believe that you died
on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask
you to take control of my life, I give it to you. Help me to live every day in a way that pleases
you. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you.
